Summer for Bitterness

In summer, all things are flourishing. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that summer heat affects heart, heart controls blood circulation, sweat sent out. In order to facilitate the elimination of summer-heat by sweating, our Qi and blood are transferred to body surface, and the skin pore is opened. If the summer-heat cannot be released, it may cause headache and intestines disorder. 

In summer, we shall eat more plain and easily-digestible food instead of fatty food. We can eat more bitter vegetables, such as bitter gourd and caraway.
