Spring for Sweetness

In spring, plants start to bloom, as well as human beings. In Chinese traditional medicine, people believe that liver storages blood, when spring comes, the blood will be released from liver to body-circulation for physical renewal. Usually we call it insufficient Qi. That's why for people with poor physical condition, especially the olds and the kids, they tend to feel sleepy in spring, just because blood-deficiency in liver.   
In spring, we shall eat more sweet food to add more Qi in our body. For example, having enough jujube can nourish blood vessel and tonify Qi. It can be both eaten in raw and can be made into jujube porridge, jujube cake and etc.
